Winter in Val Gardena - a breathtaking landscape covered in white

Adventurous winter holiday in Dolomiti Superski, the world's largest ski resort.

The choice of winter sports in Val Gardena is varied. There are hundreds of kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes with the most modern lifts. Fantastic panoramic trails, natural toboggan runs, snow parks and secluded hiking trails, all surrounded by the magnificent mountains of the Dolomites.
Not only skiers and snowboarders, but also cross-country skiers, tobogganers and ski tourers can enjoy themselves. On Monte Pana in S. Cristina and the nearby Alpe di Siusi, there are fantastic panoramic trails. Natural toboggan runs and snow parks offer fun for the young and for families. In addition, there are quiet, secluded winter hiking trails for those who want to avoid the hustle and bustle. And all this within the magnificent mountain range of the Dolomites.

Sellaronda
Details

A 26 km trip takes you around the mighty Sella massif. The starting point is 200 m from our hotel at the Saslong cable car. We will take you there by our hotel's own shuttle. Once you arrive at the Ciampinoi, you can choose between the green or the orange route, i.e. clockwise or anticlockwise. It is possible to add to it, starting from Corvara towards La Villa to the Holy Cross or from Arabba to the Porta Vescovo descent or up to the Marmolada, from Colfosco to the Edelweiss Valley or from Canazei towards Buffaure. Sellaronda is the skiing hotspot of the Dolomites.
It is best to allow 3-4 hours for Sellaronda alone.

Gardenaronda
Details

Not as famous as the Sellaronda, but also not as crowded, the Gardenaronda starts 500 m from our hotel. The free ski bus takes you to the valley station of the Col Raiser cable car, and from there it's off to the Seceda and down the valley to the "Longia", a 10 km long slope to St. Ulrich. After a 5-minute walk you arrive at the Alpe di Siusi lift station. From there you have several options to ski through before you reach the Saltria. Take the chairlift to Zallinger, descend, and then you will arrive at the bottom station of the lift, from which a bus will take you to Monte Pana. Take the Monte Pana lift back to St. Christina and the ski bus back to the front door of the Oberaldoss.
